Minutes of the Extra-Ordinary Parish Council Meeting held on Tuesday 26^th February 2019 at Clapton & Wayford Village Hall

1. Apologies for Absence

Apologies received from Mrs Sue Osborne (SSDC District Councillor) and Mr M Best (Somerset County Councillor) who both had to attend a full council meeting at South Somerset District Council. Apologies received from Mrs Caroline Broom who was ill.

2. To ratify the Roundham Road Improvement Scheme prepared by Somerset County Council on the 13^th November 2018.

The Chairman was very pleased with the turnout of Roundham Residents who had viewed the proposed plans throughout the day of the 26^th February and had commented favourably on the plans.

The plans were proposed for acceptance by Mrs J Borland Chairman of the Parish Council and seconded by Mr F Freeman Parish Councillor and carried unanimously by the West Crewkerne Parish Council.

The Chairman felt that the above scheme should be revisited in six months (following completion of the work) to see how the signage is working and then if any alterations need to be made then proposals can be put forward from there. The residents from Roundham had indicated that they were also considering pursuing the Speed Watch programme.

The Chairman rounded off the meeting by stating that she thought the day had been a worthwhile exercise.

Meeting closed at 7.50pm.
